Habitat for Humanity (Build)
When: Saturday, 09/30
Type of Service: Housing
Cost: Free
Description: On September 30, we will be volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville! We will be helping with the construction of a build site in progress. No carpentry skills are required! Just show up with a great attitude and be ready to work. The site members will teach you anything they need help with. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Reclaimed Hope Initiative - Parent's Night Out
When: Saturday, 09/30
Type of Service: Human Services
Cost: Free
Description: Reclaimed Hope Initiative works to support, advocate and strengthen families navigating foster care, adoption and children with disabilities. At Parents Night Out, AFB volunteers will be providing care for children ages 4-12 so that their parents can relax. If you like spending time with kids, this is a great option!

Habitat for Humanity (Store)

Cost: Free
Description: The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a used furniture store. All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. We will be helping them in the store after-hours with organization, cleaning, and more!

Rivanna Conservation Alliance
When: Sunday, 10/01
Type of Service: Environmental
Cost: Free
Description: The Rivanna Conservation Alliance (RCA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit watershed organization created to provide the community with a set of tools and programs specifically designed to help clean and protect the Rivanna River and its tributaries. RCA has a large riparian buffer project in the Dunlora neighborhood that was planted in 2021 that is in need of some maintenance and we will be helping them with that!

Camp Holiday Trails
When: Tuesday, 10/03
Type of Service: Environmental
Cost: Free
Description: Camp Holiday Trails is a local nonprofit which provides the camp experience to young folks with medical issues. Their mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space where our Campers can experience the joys of camp, regardless of their health condition. During AFB, we have the fantastic opportunity to help Camp Holiday Trails with trailwork and more so that their space remains as well-kept as possible!

Bellaire Farms
When: Monday, 10/02

Description: Bellair Farm is a local sustainable farm in Southern Albemarle! We have not yet received our volunteering assignment, but we can expect something fantastically outdoorsy and sustainable!
